[샬롬 바이블] 제24회 The Quail and Manna - 만나와 메추라기

[탈출기 16장]


In the wilderness, the people of Israel


grumbled against Moses and Aaron.


“In Egypt, we ate meat and bread until we were full.


Now you have brought us out into this wilderness


to kill all of us with hunger.”


Then, the Lord said to Moses,


“Behold, I am about to rain bread from heaven for you.


The people shall go out and gather their daily portion.


I will test them whether they will walk in my law or not.


On the sixth day, let it be twice as much


as they gather on the other days.”


In the evening, quails came and covered the camp,


and in the morning, dews lay around the camp.


After the dew had gone up,


there was something like a flake, fine as frost on the ground.


Now the house of Israel called it manna.


In this way, God fed them in the wilderness.


The people of Israel ate the manna for forty years,


until they came to settled land.
