Ave verum corpus, natum de Maria Virgine,
성체 안에 계신 예수, 동정 성모께서 나신 주,

vere passum, immolatum in cruce pro homine,
모진 수난 죽으심도 인류를 위함일세.

cuius latus perforatum fluxit aqua et sanguine:
상처 입어 뚫린 가슴 물과 피를 흘리셨네.

esto nobis praegustatum in mortis examine.
우리들이 죽을 때에 주님의 수난하심 생각하게 하옵소서.
