The history of Korean Catholic faith is very special.
In the late 18th century, citizens started to study Catholic teachings without even any missionaries. And this never happened before! Clashed with Confucianism, Christian religions were not recognized and went through hardship and persecution of martyrdom..
But we are blessed people with history of martyrdom!
I practiced and played this music contemplating about our ancestors' faith and history!
한국의 신앙의 역사는 참 특별하다 .
18세기말 , 선교사도 없이 직접 천주교의 교리를 학문으로 공부하고 스스로 신앙을 받아들인 것은 전세계를 통틀어 처음있는 일이라고 한다.
유교의 전통과 충돌하며 예수그리스도의 교리는 인정받지 못하였고 환난과 핍박의 순교의 역사를 이루었지만..
그런 순교의 역사를 가진 우리는 행복한 사람들 !
우리 선조들의 신앙의 역사를 묵상하며 연습하고 연주했습니다!
