A few days ago.. After watching Rien Schalkwijk channel, my favorite YouTuber, I got Paul's sheet music and played it!

그대의 찬손 / 클라라의 묵상글
파리의 어두운 뒷골목..
춥고 누추한 다락방에는
시인인 로돌포(Rodofo), 화가 마르첼로(Marcello), 작곡가 쇼나르(Schaunard), 철학자 콜리네(Colline)가 살고있고..
그들은 재능은 있지만 가난한 예술가들..
또한 , 같은 건물 아랫층에는 재봉일을 하는 가난하고 병약한 아가씨 미미(Mimi)가 살고있다
미미는 촛불의 불씨를 얻으려 시인 로돌포를 찾아가고
어두운 방에서 잃어버린 열쇠를 찾기위해 바닥을 더듬다가
로돌포는 미미의 찬손을 만지게 된다
난방이 안된 추운곳에 살고있기에
두사람의 손은 물론 얼음처럼 차가웠고..
가난한 두사람은
둘의 따듯한 체온으로 추위를 녹인다
그렇게 두사람의 아름다운 사랑은 시작되고..
이 장면에서 부르는 아리아(Aria)가 그 유명한 푸치니(G.Puccini) 오페라 라보엠(La Boheme)의
‘그대의 찬손(Che gelida manina)' 이다.
오래전 오페라강의를 들을때 메모해 둔 노트를 보다 울음을 터트렸다
가난하였기에 더욱 아름다운 그순간!
왜 사람들은 부와 명예에 목숨을 걸고 달려드는 것일까?
고액연봉의 직장과 돈이 없어서 결혼을 못한다는 요즘의 젊은이들을 보며
이제 우리에겐 그런 아름다운 낭만은 없는걸까 생각해 본다
자기의 수치가 영광으로 변한 세상!

돈과 명예가 있다면 좀더 품위있게 살수 있다는 것을 부정할수 없다
하지만 ‘인간에 대한 사랑’ ‘타인에 대한 동정심’이 없는..
나만 잘살면 된다는 부와 명예가
얼마나 가치가 있을까?
그런 생각을 하며
웬지 답답하고 우울한 오후에
쓸쓸히 높은 빌딩사이를 걷는다!
Your cold hand/ Clara's contemplation
A dark alley in Paris..
In the cold and shabby attic
where the poet Rodofo, the painter Marcello, the composer Schaunard, and the philosopher Colline live.
They are talented but poor artists.
Also, on the lower floor of the same building, there is a poor and sickly lady, Mimi, who works as a tailor.
Mimi goes to the poet Rodolfo to get the light of a candle.
As she fumbles on the floor in a dark room to find her lost key
Rodolfo touches Mimi's cold hand.
Living in a cold place with no heating,
their hands were, of course, as cold as ice...
Two poor people...Their warm body temperature melts the cold
That's how the beautiful love between the two begins...
That is where Aria is sung by G.Puccini is the famous opera of La Boheme.
"Your Cold Hand" (Che gelida manina).
When I listened to an opera lecture a long time ago, I burst into tears more than the notes I took down.
A more beautiful moment because I was poor!
Why do people risk their lives for wealth and fame?
Looking at today's young people who say they can't get married because they don't have a high-paying job and no money.
Now I wonder if we don't have such a beautiful romance anymore
A world in which one's shame has turned into glory!

There is no denying that if you have money and fame, you can live with more dignity.
But if there is no ‘love for humans’ or ‘sympathy for others’.
Then how much are wealth and honor worth?
Thinking here and there...
In a gloomy afternoon
I walk between tall buildings alone!
