[샬롬 바이블] 제23회 David Fights Goliath - 다윗이 골리앗을 이기다

David and Goliath [사무엘상 17장]

In the days of King Saul of Israel, there was a boy named David.

David was a strong and brave boy. He loved and trusted God.

Saul had a big battle with the Philistines.

A huge Philistine giant, Goliath had scored all the Israelite soldiers.

"Choose a man for yourselves and let him come down to me!

If he is able to fight against me and beat me,

then we will be your servants," Goliath shouted.

David said to Saul,

"Let no man's heart fail because of him.

Your servant will go and fight against this Philistine."

Saul wanted David to wear armor and carry a sword.

Instead, David took his stick and sling

and picked five smooth stones from the brook.

Goliath laughed at David.

But David ran straight toward Goliath

and fired one stone right at Goliath's forehead. Goliath fell.

Philistines ran for their lives
because they saw that Goliath was dead.
