[Hesed - Love 0.002km]는 서소문성지역사박물관 ‘중견작가 초대기획전’ 시리즈의 일환으로 마련되었습니다.
사람들 간의 교류가 제한받고 있는 상황에서 그 거리의 공간적 의미를 새롭게 나타낸 것입니다. 작가에 있어 2미터는 금기의 거리를 넘어 사랑으로 열린 거리입니다. 상생과 공존을 위한 2미터를 0.002킬로미터로 변주해 그 의미를 재설정하고 순도 높은 레이저 빛을 이용해 시간과 공간의 세계로 확장시키려는 것이 전시회의 의도라 할 수 있습니다.
They explore the theme of the “two meters” proposed as a recommended distance between people by social distancing guidelines. Under the circumstances of limited human interaction, Hesed—Love 0.002km reinterprets the spatial meaning of the distance. To the artists, the 2-metre social distancing rule is more than the mere prohibition of proximity—it’s a distance kept out of love. By converting the two meters, representative of coexistence and symbiosis, into 0.002 kilometers, this exhibition seeks to reestablish the meaning of the distance and expands the gap into a spatiotemporal universe using a high-purity of laser.
