[샬롬 바이블] 제6회 The Temptation of Christ - 광야에서 유혹을 받으신 예수 | 영어로 배우는 성경

루카 제4장

The Spirit of God led Jesus into the wilderness.
Jesus was alone and fasted for forty days.
So he became very hungry.

The devil came to tempt Jesus.
"If you are the Son of God, turn these stones into bread," he said.
"Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God,"
Jesus answered.

The devil tried again. He took Jesus to the holy city
and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.
"If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down."
"Do not put the Lord to the test."

Again, the devil took him up to a very high mountain and showed him all the glory.
"I will give you all the glory if you worship me."
"Get away, Satan! It is written: Worship the Lord your God alone."

God sent his angels to comfort and care for Jesus
because he did not obey the devil.
